I nearly sold this dress before wearing it. This Kiki pin stripped frill dress with lace details hung as a trophy in my closet, tag(s) still attached, garment bag never untied. I loved it so much; I just was too scared to wear it out. So instead of letting it collect dust, I nearly tried selling it. But my partner said, no, and that If I really wanted to sell it that he would buy it because he wanted to see me in it.
I saved for so long. Years. It’s “only” a $400 dress but for me- it was a lot. I’ve always admired runway fashion and Ted Baker was just that.
Luckily, my partner is a photographer, and we put together a set to commemorate my finally wear it.
